Like so many things, SHELTER SYSTEMS was created out of personal need. Involved for years with amateur motorsports we had a need to get out of the sun and the rain. Most solutions at that time were either the then rather small and expensive pull apart - pop up style units or the pole and rope dining fly style canopies. Neither were good choices. At one point we discovered a flea market style open canopy that was both large and sturdy enough to do the trick. One could simply buy a bunch of corners, one of those cheap blue tarps, a few sticks of pipe and have a decent sized and sturdy shelter you could put up and forget about. Which we did
 We can't say we invented the idea, but we can take some credit for improving on it. Larger size pipe and sturdier connector fittings. Higher quality, canopy grade SunTec™ solar reflective poly tops, etc., etc. One thing led to another and pretty soon we had everybody and their brother asking us to make up one for them. Soon enough we were in business selling these to all kinds of people, far and wide. We organized them into complete packages with proper instructions. Shipped systems in a proper industrial grade storage container and added a bunch of accessories that make sense. Say nothing of a decent warranty on all parts and accessories. The rest is history and we've now been in business for over 15 years with systems sold all over the world.
At SHELTER SYSTEMS we are dedicated to making quality products and then the continued support of those products. Anyone can produce a cheap canopy and anyone can get carried away making an elaborate and expensive one.
