When you buy a SHELTER SYSTEM you get everything you will need to create a basic system, except the frame pipe. You will receive a tough, reusable, industrial grade plastic tote box containing all the connector corners, solar reflective silver Sun-Tec™ poly top, all elastic bungees needed to install the top and complete instructions.

SHELTER SYSTEMS are designed around the use of 1 inch electrical conduit (EMT) for the frame pipe itself. Conduit is available just about everywhere and is, as pipe goes, inexpensive. Instead of using special pipe or pipe which includes special fittings SHELTER SYSTEM frames are designed around the use of just plain old 'thin-wall' conduit, which you buy locally. This way you don't need to pay for shipping (that's expensive). And, if you damage or lose a segment while you're away from home (and sooner or later you will), you only need go to the nearest home supply or hardware store to be back-in-business.

1 inch conduit is substantially stronger than 3/4 inch conduit, yet considerably lighter and easier to manage than 1-3/8 fence pipe. Conduit is known by its inside dimension where 1 inch conduit is actually 1-1/8 inch in overall outside dimension. It is less likely to bend or sag than the smaller pipe, with a cost and weight that's only a little more, yet it is a lot less difficult and costly than fence pipe. SHELTER SYSTEMS are designed to work with only the 1 inch size for all systems. We feel it is the best compromise for temporary and affordable, yet reasonably sized shelters. It really is the best choice!

Also included is a complete breakdown of how much pipe is needed and what lengths it needs to be cut to where necessary.
